merchant tab convert

if i convert my premium tabs from poe1 to merchant tab in poe2 then my tabs in poe1 will be ruined and unusable? until they add merchant tab there also? did i understand right?

If you previously used those stashes for both trade and stash, say good bye to that.

so i lose all the items for sale that are inside?

Unlikely. It’s just that they won’t show up in the normal trade market anymore

Most likely the items end up in a readonly-tab.

It's for this reason I fully expect the merchant to be available at the latest in the next PoE 1 expansion. GGG will expect most players who are converting tabs will remain in PoE 2 until then. I can also see GGG implementing this early as soon as it's ready expressly because paid MTX have become unavailable.
