Forced Shield playstyle

No matter how much u want it the playerbase wont use raise shield. It slows ppl down and the playerbase is already doin everything possible to never slow down.
Its not gonna happen and it surely wont fix armor if u think thats some sadistic screwed up way of torturing & slowing down leveling. Last bumped on Aug 29, 2025, 8:37:07 AM

I use it when I run banner with my group as support.

They don't want you to run around doing nothing but raising your shield. They want you to see "Hey look at that slam coming in without a red telegraph, raise shield and point to the enemy, receive no damage. It's an alternative to dancing out of the way, and not running around will be a time saver.

pretty soon they're going to remove all weapons and force people to dual wield shields.

I cannot find a case to use for rising shield during boss fights which is useful and strong. outside that it will slow you down using it in maps. The only way I could think they could encourage people to use rise shields it’s to add mechanics into it like endurances charges, retaliation, reflecting damage and so on.

Let the console players have their fun with raise shield while doing campaign, when game releases they will remove everything that made the game be PoE2 and just call it PoE1 copy.

pretty much and removing 30% block chance is bait for alot of people dying early league when they think its gonna save them and die if they forget

I'd run it if it was able to stack + skills, crit mods, etc.

Minion and Totem specs will use it.
