One free character slot each year as a gift from GGG to the players. (Suggestion)

We’re getting three leagues each year, which means an active player needs at least three new character slots annually.

If GGG were to gift players one free character slot each year, it likely wouldn’t impact total revenue significantly. However, it would improve the player experience and strengthen their sense of connection with the game.

If could, in poe2 too.

I think that the expectation is for players to delete (at least some) old characters. ='[.]'=

I deleted a few of my old ones recently. Still have over 70 :v

I get not wanting to delete a character you played a whole league on, but on sale it's like $2, and they always go on sale. If they are releasing every 4 months, that's 6 bucks a year.

That said, I'm not against it.

Also don't go look at my characters, you don't wanna know how much I spent on slots lol.

... Why not just delete the character and remake them in the new league?

If you're not intending on playing with them in standard, they're just sitting there collecting dust. Brush them off and bring them back to the fight.

I'd like this idea. I like free stuff, and I always worry about having an open character slot for an event. I think though that they won't give away things for free that you can buy in the store.

Keeping your old characters forever definitely a "nice to have" that fits very well in the RMT MTX/Perks catagory. Be happy with how many we do get, and buy the support packs if you want a zillion.

the truth is this, you don't need more than 1 of each high level ascendency in standard. they ruin builds 24 7 so keeping chars geared up is pointless, have a clean slate " blank level 95 char for example " and tabs full of gear to use, and money to buy things you don't have
