Mercenary fight never ends bug

Hello,

I am running into an infrequent bug where a mercenary that I choose to fight and defeat never gets counted as defeated. I believe this is resulting from an interaction with my Cruel Mistress mercenary's Voltaxic Burst combined with a culling effect, as I have a source from my Animate Guardian.
