Console optimisation

I was playing the game on my Xbox Series X, and I unlocked the skill I needed for my build. I decided to test it out, and I was shocked. Every time a mob dies from the skill, my FPS drops to zero, making it nearly impossible to play. In the screenshot, you can see that my FPS dropped to 7 when I killed a large group of mobs. I'm afraid to imagine what it will be like in the endgame, and I'm worried that my console will explode. I would like to see better optimization in the game, as the competition in the form of Diablo 4 has a stable 60 frames on any platform, except for the previous generation of consoles. I am writing this to share my experience and find out how other people are doing. Last bumped on Aug 27, 2025, 10:38:08 AM

" zero fps? but then you said 7fps XD im playing on series S and ive seen that fps drops to 7 too and its unlikely the game will be optimized until its full release v1.0 just lower some settings and im in endgame |

" You said "except for the previous generation of consoles". I would add that EVEN on the older generation, Diablo4 was running smoother than POE2 on the current gen. Diablo4 on PS4 was running at CONSTANT 30fps. POE2 on PS5 (during endgame) has fluctuating fps, often far below 30 fps, even when using the lowest graphical settings. |

That's right, games like Diablo 4 and even Elden Ring on last-generation consoles are more stable than PoE2 on our consoles. Although it's an isometric game where every ice crystal after freezing a mob has physics, which is why my frame rate dropped to 7 at one point, as you can see in the screenshot I attached to this post. However, I'm not sure if it's allowed to post full photos here, so I've provided a link to the photo hosting service.
