The OP is ambiguous and could be interpreted in either fashion.
While I lean toward yours, I can also see why EthanH gave the response that he did. Especially (but not only) because you had provided an answer for one possible interpretation, so he presumably felt the most valuable possible response would to be to clarify the other possible case. |
