Chaos Attack damage shouldn't just be Poison, DoT = boring
Don’t repeat the same mistake from PoE 1
A Chaos-based Attack skill should enhance the combat system, not drag it down with boring, passive DoT Make it impactful. Make it reward skill expression, timing, and positioning It should feel like a deadly weapon in hand, not a damage-over-time debuff with a swing animation stapled on Chaos. Darkness. Obscure. I agree that Poison shouldn't be the extent of Chaos in PoE2. Thankfully GGG does seem to be cooking up more stuff with Wither & Volatility.
My preference would be for a Gravity-themed aesthetic: black holes, orbital patterns, crushing cosmic force |

I urge anyone dabbling in chaos-damage related melee to explore volatility + Vaal Pact.
Enough crit-chance and leech and you can duel-wield beat-down a T4 pinnacle boss with off-meta well-rolled (so dirt cheap, but not conventionally popular affix) single-handed maces and default attack in ~10 seconds. |

Well I'm DoT enjoyer heh, and I'm all for more DoT types. Usually I end up always to make DoT builds(that's how much I love them). But saying that, variety usually is not a bad thing and maybe some Unique can twist Chaos dmg to be instant. But then i remember that there is ascendancy point or was a support gem that made, when you kill a mob with chaos dmg they explode - doing instant dmg. So it's not like there is non. So keep Chaos dmg as it is!
