Merc Interaction in Party Play

Is a fix in the works for other party members not being able to interact/recruit mercenaries they encounter first in maps? It's really frustrating when you encounter a merc that is perfect for one player and useless to the other but only one person can interact/hire them.

As far as I understand it, the expected behavior is that only the map owner can hire/exile mercenaries.

They probably did it on purpose to avoid situations where people would "sell" mercenaries.

Generally trade is fine, but "unsecure" trade is bad, because it's prone to scamming.

This is the same reason they changed things like Alva temples into something itemized. So that they can be safely traded.

OTOH, I do agree that it's super frustrating how hard it is to find a specific mercenary (such as one with two auras that are both useful).

I hope, if the mechanic goes core, that they will do something to make this not terrible.

Just imagine Mercs go core with the normal/old way of doing things, e.g. "8% chance to appear in maps".

I don't expect we'll get big changes in what's left of this league, as most of their focus will be on PoE2 at this point, for the upcoming patch.
