Gilded fossil implicit overriding a vendor recipe to convert a legacy item to a newer version

Adding the gilded fossil implicit to this legacy cluster jewel without a jewel socket turned out to be the most expensive mistake I've made so far.
Vendoring these legacy clusters normally results in the vendor returning the same item, but with a jewel socket added to it. But it turns out that a simple gilded fossil overrides this vendor recipe, making it impossible to add the jewel socket to it once a gilded fossil is used on the item.

Can confirm. Not the only vendor recipe that gets overrided. For example if you use the vendor 5:1 on heist jewelry and one of the items has a gilded implicit, it wouldn't count.

I'm sure there are more broken vendor recipes, as it seems like the gilded implicit just gets priority over other recipes.

have you tried non-synthesised legacy cluster jewel?

It may be not the problem of the fossil
