A list of what we don't have

Yes, the Chinese version of Path of Exile 1—published by Tencent, which owns a majority stake in Grinding Gear Games—includes several exclusive features and benefits not found in the international version. These differences exist due to regional market demands and Tencent's influence. Here’s a list of the most notable ones:

🔹 1. Auto Loot (Limited)
Description: The Chinese version has partial auto-loot, particularly for currency items and maps, making farming more efficient.

Context: This caters to the Chinese audience’s preference for reduced repetitive actions, but it's limited and not fully automatic for all item types.

🔹 2. Loot Pet (Cosmetic with Functionality)
Description: Certain loot pets can automatically pick up currency, similar to systems seen in games like Diablo Immortal or Lost Ark (KR).

Note: This is a monetized feature and controversial among international fans due to its pay-for-convenience nature.

🔹 3. In-Client Trade Integration
Description: The Chinese client has a built-in auction house / trade market system.

Functionality: Players can list and purchase items directly from within the game without needing external sites like poe.trade or Path of Exile’s trade website.

Advantage: Speeds up trade and greatly improves accessibility.

🔹 4. Improved Starter Packs / Login Rewards
Description: New players are sometimes given starter packs, cosmetic items, or currency as promotional incentives.

Context: This is designed to attract a mobile/PC crossover audience used to such systems.

🔹 5. Streamlined UI and Features
Description:

Additional tutorial guidance

Adjusted UI scaling and readability

Simplified menus for character progression and crafting

Rationale: GGG and Tencent adjusted elements to appeal to a broader and more casual market.

🔹 6. Microtransaction Pricing Differences
Observation: MTX pricing in China is sometimes cheaper or presented with different bundles or limited deals.

Reason: Localization for local economic conditions and spending habits.

🔹 7. More Aggressive Monetization Options
Features:

Extra stash tabs bundled with QoL upgrades

Paid conveniences that don’t exist elsewhere (e.g., auto-identify scrolls in some versions)

Controversy: These blur the line between "pay for convenience" and "pay to win" in ways not accepted by the global player base.

🔹 8. Tencent-Exclusive Events / Leaderboards
Events: Some races and competitions are region-specific with cash prizes or platform-exclusive content.

Leaderboards: Maintained separately for Chinese players with different reward structures.

🔹 9. Faster Content Patching
In some cases, the Chinese version receives patches or features faster, especially when customized content is involved.

🔹 10. Tencent Cloud Integration / Local Server Benefits
Performance: Localized cloud services result in better ping and performance for Chinese users, with optimized latency handling via Tencent Cloud.

So with all the garbage damage you guys are adding to the game, can we at least get a death log? Having a 10 mirror build and getting 1 shot, it would be nice to know what white mob ability is killing me off screen....If anyone reading this thinks we are getting screwed, you should see what they get in POE2. No need to buy supporter packs anymore, let the other side of the world support the game.

I would like to know this as well, are there any plans for some of the things the Chinese version has to make it into the global version?
Things I'll +1: 1 & 3 - Great quality of life, much needed features

Things I'll -1: All things related to monetization - Obvious controversies already mentioned

Everything else: I don't particularly want to incentivize cash prize contests. Faster content patching and Tencent cloud is obviously not going to work outside of China, since non-Chinese GGG is much smaller and can't patch as quickly. And a cloud would be difficult due to the non-Chinese version spanning the rest of the globe.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!
