Double XP Weekends

Good or bad?
it would obviously be for endgame contents only just because in campaign you'd find yourself overlevelled in act 1 already, making it very unbalanced.

Bad imo.

time gated advantages/boosts dont belong in poe. Everyone should face the same difficulty and rate of progression regardless of their schedule.

yeah i could agree, it wasnt a thing in poe either. i'm pretty sure tho that a good portion of the player's pool would buy double xp tokens if they were a thing in microtransaction shop.
I think such initiatives will be bad because they introduce additional FOMO and turn the game even more into a chore. Needing "double XP" indicates that the way how XP is handled right now may need fixing.

It does need some rework imho, i got nothing against xp loss on death but now it is very unbalanced in terms of xp gain and xp loss on death and on a second thought i'm not even sure you'll notice a 2x exp bonus from level 98 and above.
It would work fine until level 95, where we can say the build is done, up to level 95 having 2x exp doesnt make you better and closer you get to 100 the xp loss would still outpace the xp gain.
Leveling above 95 level makes you even stronger in monster hits. So basically the 2x experience is for reaching at least all chars to 98 level. The 99 abd 100 should be for no life players...

Bad. If anything, they could think about doing Resting XP.
