[Critical Bug] PoE2 standalone causes AMD driver failure and full system crash (RX 6600 / 25.6.1)
System Specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F - GPU: RX 6600 - Driver: AMD Adrenalin 25.6.1 (latest as of July 2025) - RAM: 32GB DDR4 (2x16GB) - OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11 (same issue on both) - Game version: Path of Exile 2 (Standalone, not Steam) Issue: - Launching PoE2 causes a full system crash. - Screen turns black, all input becomes unresponsive. - I was forced to reset BIOS and power manually to recover the system. - After rebooting, Windows showed the message: **"The AMD graphics driver has stopped responding and was recovered"** Additional Info: - This issue does not occur in other games (tested with CS2, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc). - Even after a clean reinstall of both the game and the GPU driver (using DDU), the issue persisted. - After wiping and reinstalling PoE2, the crash no longer happens immediately — but AMD Adrenalin still does **not recognize PoE2 as a game**, preventing any performance tuning or optimization. - The problem seems to be specific to RX 6000-series GPUs running PoE2 standalone on Adrenalin 25.x drivers. Request: - Please investigate PoE2 standalone compatibility with AMD Adrenalin. - Consider working with AMD to ensure proper detection, support, and stability. Happy to provide crash logs, DxDiag, or other system info if needed. Last bumped on Jul 16, 2025, 8:11:14 AM

Roll back to 25.3.1 and test that, that's the version I'm running and receive no crashes. System is 5700x3d and 6900xt.
