Blight issue is the most embarrassing thing to date for GGG
It has been ONE MONTH since league start. Blight is still LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE.
I am not even speccing into Blight, just running a normal T16.5 map, I see a Blight, I open the Blight, I build some towers, monsters start to spawn. My 13900K and 4090 go from 100FPS to 20 then 5 then STAND STILL, then 2FPS.. THEN.. it logs me the fuck out of the game and I lose the Blight. What are you guys doing?? This is the worst league to date in terms of support after launch.. GGG just launched 3.26 and buggered off to POE2.. Buggy, low effort endgame.. only good thing about this supposed MEGA expansion that is 3.26 is that endgame loot farming feels okey and there were some nice build defining uniques that changed up the META. yep, they need to delete the scarabs and make some new ones that don't increase the monster count.
that said, for me blight ravaged run well after the patch :) d:-D*

Blight is a very rewarding league with a unique mechanic.
Also, whatever problem you're having is definitely on your end. My PC is well over 10 years old and is still able to run blights, especially now that GGG fixed the screen flickering issues. That said, GGG needs to stop relying so hard on significantly increasing monster spawns to give valuable loot through sheer quantity. They need to start cutting spawns down, reduce loot, but improve quality. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! Im pretty sure blight lag a lot less with ground affect builds, which lag less and bypasses proximity shield. There were few weird ones which counted as such, i think one of them was scorching ray. And if its fast hit based build or your build chain pops entire blight lanes it will disconnect. Its a bit funny that build requirement to do blight isnt about power but the lag it brings.

The screen flickering is usually the result of hits registering on stupid shit like proximity shields.
This is hardly GGG's most embarrassing mistake. I'd say POE2 takes the cake there. You should come to expect that things like this won't get fixed. Also have no any extraordinary issues with blight. Have old xeon CPU, sometimes have huge lags for no reason this league with DX12, despite it was ok in last leagues. But Blight run as any other heavy content, like 30FPS, but playable, no DC.

I have the same issues in T16.5 breach. Im not sure what it is but never before i saw this kind of performance in PoE. I wonder if it has to do with something done in patch 3.26

not with blight, but I too have graphical issues that I've never had before in PoE since Delirium league.
Flickering, unrendering, freezing, I even had a weird error where I was in the middle of a map, the game froze, and then when it picked up again the entire map itself returned to full fog of war, while i was still inside it and had completed the entire thing. Monsters didn't return....only the fog of war reset. I still can't enter any of the new boss arenas without having to wait a few seconds into the actual beginning of the fight for the area to render. I remember one hack. Try to change Network mode from Lockstep to Predictable. One day i buyed 5way legion carry, but server constantly disconnect me when fight starts. And guy advised me this hack.
Lockstep (default mode) - when you step on something, you really here. Predictable - when you step on something, you probably here. Sometimes due to lags server backtracks you to position, where you was few seconds ago. It's annoying, but there no DC, and i think, i have less freezes in this mode. In previous leagues i still playing with Lockstep, but in this league i moved to Predictable. And i think the performance is improved overall.
