Pride + Eternal Blessing ... AND Herald??? How?

I've been trying Bleed Gladiator (Lacerate Hemo) and have a question after seeing some builds on poeninja; I'm hoping someone can help me since the gem combos doesn't work for me. I'm putting this into general discussion, since I'm not sure if this interaction is exclusive to Gladiator.
Essentially, I want Blood Magic, but the mana reservation is too heavy if I want to use Pride and Herald of Purity and Blood/Sand. I can probably do without Blood/Sand (but I think I need it for my axe mastery 30% damage increase? I'm seeing some people pick that mastery without B+S, which is odd, but that's a separate question). I'll post the build below that I'm looking at, but there are a few of them that don't seem to have any other jewels/uniques/passives that I can see to make this work. When I put eternal blessing in, it shuts off my herald of purity and B+S. Herald of Purity buffs me thanks to my ring. Eternal Blessing disables skills that reserve mana. With Blood Magic skills reserve life instead of mana.

I used an orb of regret to try it, but when I had blood magic activated, the 3 auras together would take out my hp (proportional to mana), but when I added the eternal blessing (after having blood magic on), it disabled my herald and B+S. Perhaps there was an order of operations I made a mistake?
" I'm in my skill tree now and ALT doesn't do anything (nor CTRL etc)...? Is there an interaction in the Axe Mastery that's not listed with regards to Blood stance? |

Tried Blood Magic with Eternal Blessing now, works for me.

I'm operating now without blood and sand gem and it seems comparable.
I suppose I was mistaken and I just have to deal with the 25% reservation... it still leaves me with 4.8k hp. ALT doesn't work for me though in my skill tree, which is super odd since I remember it working before. I don't have any of those keys remapped either that I can think of? |
