Recombinator never being successful

I've tried to recombine about 20 odd pairs of quivers in the recombinator with all of them having around an 8.7ish% chance of succeeding but not one has, and even when trying pairs of items with a higher chance of 15 or so ive still not gotten a single item from the recombinator this entire league, probably sitting at about 50 or 60 trys with zero success

8.7% ?!?!?

yesterday for the first time ever i tried using that bench, tried to do the most basic recombination - 1 mod + 1 mod, it gave me 0.5%. Evaporated items, never ever ever ever again, f*** that nonsense.

Dont use the poe2 recombinator.

The random recombinator is so much better to get your 3 tier1 mods on an item.

You still could get more than 3 mods but it will be a lot of work and rng from there onwards.

Using the "deterministic" recombination is a waste of time, money and your sanity.
Any worthwhile mods have less than 10% (sometimes less than 5%-1%) recomb chance.
The only thing deterministic about it is that its just a fancy "destroy items with extra steps button"

Use the unpredictable one instead. Just spam your items with alts until you get the mod you want. If you need 2 specific mods on the end item - ex amulet with +1 All Fire spell and Fire DoT multi - just alt spam 2 ammys till you get 1 mod on each.
Then regal 1 to get it to rare with 2 mods. Recomb and pray.

You will most likely get you desired stats in a few tries and waay less nerves. And you will have free slots to craft to boot.

From what I observed (only used it a handful of times), the success chance seems to depend on the mod tier and how many desired mods you select. I went something like MS, Life, Chaos res and something else, T1-3, I think, and I got like 8.5% chance or something. Deselecting one raised it to 9.7% or so. Don't remember the specifics. I found it too expensive to bother with, or rather, out of my personal price range at the time.
