Gladiator suggestions
When thinking about Gladiator, the first impression is its block mechanics. Both shields and dual-wielding serve as effective sources of blocking, and both receive excellent support from Gladiator's Ascendancy nodes.
However, staves/staff also offer a blocking playstyle. If Gladiator path leftward on the passive tree, you can still accumulate sufficient block chance. But Gladiator's Ascendancy provides absolutely no support for staff blocking. This is particularly problematic for staff users seeking Lucky Block Chance(More Than Skill), as the passive nodes along that path offer no meaningful benefits. Therefore, I suggest adding staves/staff support to the 'Determined Survivor' and 'Weapon Master' Ascendancy nodes. Last bumped on Jul 15, 2025, 10:41:39 AM

Gladiator needs two changes
first is make Determined Survivor give something for staves, Few mods that could go: *max chance to block attack/spells with staves *1% increased max life every 5% uncapped block chance while wielding a Staff *% of Armour also applies to spell Damage while wielding a Staff second thing is adding to Weapon Master something for bows and staves, Bows could use anything related to damage over time and staves some flat damage or crit multi. |

Gladiator was designed to wield one-handed weapons. Hence two options: 1h + shield and DW. Both involve block, that's where his block specialisation comes from. Staves and bows break his fantasy, contradict his intended role, so he can't have any bonuses that are specific for these weapons.

For Ascendant, this really sucks. It's understandable if the Ascendancy leans toward spells or attacks. But what's hard to understand is how "bleed bow" and "block staff Retaliation"/"block staff attack" builds – which clearly fit the Guardian's design philosophy – always end up with two or four completely wasted Ascendancy points for players wanting to run these builds.
