A reminder for the PoE community...

Those 15-20% left who're playing PoE because its ONLINE (not a single player) ARPG where you can compete with/against the rest of the community...

A reminder, do NOT watch and especially sub to established streamers with average of at least 500-1000 views (based on league period) if they demonstrate no interest or care to promote or collaborate with other streamers any competitive event / race for you. Let their viewership continue to tank and establish the rep they deserve, while other streamers eventually get some of their audience.

Example, with a month into the league Paak_HC is the ONLY streamer I know of that's hosted a hardcore private league and that's not even SSF. Next Friday if things remain prior to PoE 0.3 coming 3-4 weeks later just do yourself a favor and unfollow.

Understand that it's both on GGG alongside the established streamers to retain your attention and support. GGG already made the choice what type of event and streamers to sponsor at league launch. The last announcement they had was that sometime through the league they'll do a repeat on that event, which lasted for a few days before the objective was completed.

Finally, pay attention especially to streamers who're going for quick cash grab at the cost of their future earnings from their established product, streamers who's audience is the majority of the PoE community that advertise sponsored mediocre games at best. For every 500 PoE viewers at least 1% will end up supporting that game over the one you are.

This is such a wild take that it borders on satire.

You're seriously out here suggesting that streamers with 500–1000+ viewers owe the community event planning duties or else deserve to be unfollowed and have their viewership "tank"? That's not just entitled, it's disconnected from reality.

Content creator are not game devs, community managers, or your personal entertainment planners. They're individuals who built a platform by playing a game they love, building a community around it, maintain the energy to go live day after day, and grinding insane hours to make a living. That alone is already a full time job.

And let’s be honest for a second , would you even compete in these events you’re demanding? Or is this just posturing because you feel like content creators aren’t dancing fast enough to keep you entertained?

Not every streamer has the time, energy, or even interest to organize private leagues or races, and that’s perfectly fine. Their worth isn’t tied to how many community events they host. If someone does go out of their way to organize something cool, great! But that doesn't make everyone else less valid or deserving of support.

If you're that desperate for competition, maybe organize your own event instead of trying to shame people who are just trying to stream, engage their communities, and maybe take a sponsor deal here and there to keep the lights on.

Stop acting like viewers are owed custom content by default. You’re not. Either support creators who bring value to you, or move on, but this weird purity test does nothing for the scene and comes off as performative gatekeeping.

Can someone explain what he's on about? Why does he feel like he's in a position to tell who should watch what or whom?
On Probation Any%
isnt watching someone else playing a game rather than playing yourself pretty much the same thing as cuckoldry?

doesnt make any sense to me. a clip or video about game mechanics is one thing, but to just sit there and watch someone else doing while you sit on a chair in a corner? just seems, well... pathetic to be blunt.
I watch/follow people who play the same game that I do, trade league.
And I stop watching/following people who splinter off the community.

To each their own.
I am guessing that your viewership numbers have dropped, or that you did not get "sponsorship" from GGG?
~ I play slowly.

OP is an up and coming streamer. He wants a piece of the pie and his thought process is community first. He's using toxic positivity to try to sway the community.

I think this is like porn. Cuckoldry would be to let someone play your HC character.
