Please Drop a Simple Patch Before .3

Whittlings are 8 divines right now, no one is buying anything, and there are no chase items. I don't see any reason to not massively buff drop rates at this point in the league, since you basically have an economy that reflects the actual global economy, whales unwilling to do anything but hoard currency and then then rest of us. The league model you have in place fails if your plan is to let the last month of each league be so unpleasant everyone has to stop playing.

Personally, I've set my lootfilter to only show currency. There's no point in wasting time collecting everything else because the trade is dead...
I'm lvl 96,5 and i only have farm xp + waiting room for next season. Just run the maps over and over and chill with bear.
There's not much point in anything else.. next season is due on the 29th of August which is over a month away and I'm disappointed (I was hoping for early August) so I'll see how long I enjoy it..
If you stop playing the economy and start playing the game this stops being an issue.

I somewhat agree, but the problem is they've made the economy such an integral part of the game because of the abysmal crafting system that you really can't ignore it unless you want to bang your head into a wall with the SSF experience. The trade/economy system needs some serious help, and its hard to the collect data to do so if people aren't engaging with it.

I'm willing to grind out gear with the rest, but after X amount of hours and X amount of currency wasted on bricked items through crafting, it's nice to be able to fall back on trade to plug the holes in a build. The items that make crafting somewhat bearable are nigh-impossible for most people to get. The drop rates are in the basement, and the cost to trade for them is insane. For me it makes them useless because why would I spend several divs on one omen of whittling attempt to craft a piece of gear when I could just buy the gear piece i'm looking for at a lower cost and be done with it. Just an efficiency thing for me.
I appreciate the "start playing the game" mentality. I would put my monster kills against anyone with my hours logged. The frustration I feel is because I cannot get enough currency from playing the game. I mentioned whittlings because I have tried juicing for omens and I have the data to show you cannot get high tier omens without playing the markets and then BUYING them. In other words, you're specifically punished for playing the game while others play the economy. And as of today, whittlings are 10 divine. Sure, that's due to player count. But also it's because they never drop for players like me, while people who play the economy buy them all and drive the price up. In other words, I think your premise is contradicted by the drop rates versus the rewards for players not playing the game, but playing the markets.
