Omen of Amelioration and 3.26
According to changes to 3.26
"Players can no longer gain or lose experience in the following areas: Absence of Mercy and Empathy, Absence of Patience and Wisdom, Absence of Symmetry and Harmony, Absence of Value and Meaning, Crux of Nothingness, Eye of the Storm, Polaric Void, Seething Chyme, The Sacred Grove, The Shaper's Realm, and The Maven's Crucible" If you die in these fights and have an omen of amelioration in your inventory, the omen will still be consumed upon death despite not protecting any exp loss anymore. The expected behavior is as the player loses no experience upon death in these areas, the omen would not be consumed as there is no exp loss to protect against. It's also known if you die and are level 100 and have one in your inventory, then you consume it as well. It seems that death is the only trigger for the omen and no checks are made if you lose exp or not. Suggestion is to trigger the consumption of the omen if exp loss is incurred at death instead of death alone. Last bumped on Jul 15, 2025, 5:24:01 AM

This is why I like what they did with omens in POE 2.
When I would go to do pinnacle content I'd just turn the omen off and not have to worry about it being in my bag or forgetting it when I went back to +XP content. Surprised they didn't bring that change over to poe 1. |
