[Into the Breach] Acolyte passives rework idea
Small nodes - Skill Speed is perfect.
Waking Dream node - Grants Skill: [Into the Breach] [Into the Breach] - You are blurring between reality and the Breach. Gain a buff that cycles between 3 versions of itself (breach, inbetween, reality), lasting for 8 seconds (cycle duration not affected by skill duration modifiers), then a new cycle begins. During a buff cycle, Hitting enemies grants a stack of currently active cycle buff. At the end of cycle duration, you are granted a buff of given cycle for X seconds, which power scales with stacks acquired (That buff duration would be scaling with Skill effect duration mods). New cycle resets the stacks. [Buff 1 - Inbetween] - You're blurring between reality and the Breach. Increases your Evasion by X% per stack. [Buff 2] - Reality] - Your connection to this world is fading, but is never gone. Leech X% Life of your All/Physical Attacks damage per stack. [Buff 3] - Breach] - Your entrance was expected... Your Hits deal Extra X% Chaos damage per stack. Lucid Dreaming node - While cycle ends accumulated stacks are exploding dealing X Physical damage per stack in an AoE around you. Additional effect depends on the cycle type: [Buff 1] - Inbetween] - Blinds enemies in range and grants you X% Movement speed per stack for X seconds. [Buff 2] - Reality] - Knockback enemies and restores X% of your Maximum Mana per stack to you and allies in range. [Buff 3] - Breach] - 100% of Explosion damage is converted to Chaos. All Enemies hit are Intimidated for X seconds. Polished idea from few months back. Please let me know what do you think! I like Into the Breach as it is. It gives "free" Spirit for slotted support gems (very important if you take Darkness) and the Flames are a useful tool. Red/Blue look at the player's max HP/Mana and scale well with or without taking Leech passives. Purple needs to be examined since there are some inconsistencies between it and the buff granted by Mantra of Destruction. The Magnetism support really does wonders.
In terms of flavor, it would be more Breachy if the radius fluctuated/did something as it expands/contracts. Perhaps collecting Flames could make it grow and a cooldown collapses it for a payoff. |
