Trials of Sekhemas not available via Desert Map (Cruel Act 2) / not recieving ascendancy points

I finished Act 2 Cruel a while ago without doing the Trials of Sekhemas Quest before that.
Now I cant access the new trials area and when I clear the 2nd Trial of Sekhemas there is just a Statue taunting me: I could interact with it to gain ascendancy passive skill points, it says, but if I click on it I gain no points at all.

And yes, I tried the Desert Map. There is no link for this area i could click.
Funny enough I can use the Waypoint to travel to Act 2 (Cruel) Trials of Sekhemas, but it just throws me into normal Act 2 instead.

I was hoping it would fix by itself somehow, but no its still there :(.
