Cut the CAP
What is actually going on with the servers, and when will the issue(s) be fixed? I don't think anybody believes the "DDOS" rubbish. Do I need to bring up the exact quote from Jonathan in his Tri interview, where more than a week in to the issue(s) he said they weren't concerned about DDOS at all?
But also, why am I being redirected to the Australia server (which appears to be located in Perth or somewhere in the Outback, given the ping) when connecting to Auckland? I'm in NZ, and I'd like to play on the server here..., not be sent across the ditch where I've generally got a base ping in the triple digits. If the issue is with the server host, change the provider. If you need to take us all offline for a day or few, to resolve the issue(s), then do it (with a few days' notice) - I don't think anyone is going to have a problem with you fixing a problem that is plaguing many of us, and has been for well over a month now. Hell, I don't have the numbers, but I suspect your player base has absolutely dropped off a cliff in the last 4-6 weeks - with a good many losses due to the server issue(s). And it's not like there hasn't been a lot of noise in the forums and beyond about this for weeks upon weeks. Do you honestly think people are going to come flooding back in with 0.3 next month (if you even stick to that), if the lag/dc issues remain? I know I'll be quitting by then (if not sooner) if you don't have it sorted. Last bumped on Jul 6, 2025, 6:49:53 PM

Yeah people will flock back.
There are still over 100k players daily in PoE1, it is expected that most of them will jump into PoE2 for 0.3.0. I'm pretty sure from their point of view, everything is all good overall and going according to plan. |
