question on leveling guide and tree

was leveling witch based on this guide notice the passive tree take minions nodes. however, none of the skill use minions, other than brand. anyone knows why

Early game it can be tough to find the 'right' damage scalers, so they make minion ones apply to you, too. So if you take a "Minions deal 10% Increased Damage node"; you do 10% increased damage.



It's probably not going to be part of your end-game optimised build, but it can make sense early on!
