Tried it all, still getting shader and network spikes – help?
This issue has been around for years. I’ve tried every fix I could find: YouTube guides, engine tweaks, shader cache clears, multithreading settings. Nothing resolves the random spikes and stuttering.
It makes the game borderline unplayable at times. I’m on a Windows machine that clearly exceeds the game’s requirements. How is this still a problem after all this time? I’ve seen forum posts dating back to 2016 with the same issue. Even in 2025, people on top-tier builds still report 100+ ms spikes.
