T17 MODs should be removed.

I'll be frank, the problem with 17 was the mods, not the maps themselves.

You get more challenging and rewarding mods, and people used to complain that they mean no farm other than t17s is profitable, but while that's not exactly true, the point stands that the best thing to do is farm maps where you need to stack every defensive layer and have an insane build.

Putting those mods on t16 originator maps doesn't solve the problem you still got a large pool of mods that force you to stack all defensive layers even if you end up running one of the mods per map.

On top of that this reduced build diversity cus every build has to have increased resistances, evasion, armour, endurance charges, suppress, etc, etc. Instead of these being choices based on your type of build.

If you need any more conviencing think about this: Why were t17s and their mods introduced in the first place? To solve the middleground problem between pinnacle bosses and uber pinnacle bosses, but I'd argue neither t17s or originator maps solve that problem. AND it's one of those "release eagles to get rid of the snakes" kinda situations where the solution becomes a problem, which then needs another solution that becomes another problem. In reality, if you throw the entire thing out and go back, the only problem you have is the farming of uber pinnacles being inaccessible and outshining regular pinnacles (which you could even argue about removing uber pinnacles, but I think that may be a step too far).

Nobody likes what t17s do to the economy, and I don't think anyone will argue that originator maps solve the problem. If you just remove t17mods and replace them with regular map mods (and ofc do the same in originator maps) you solve the entire issue. Why do we need to go through mods that read "get rekt you can't do anything with this map unless you reroll" is something we can discuss (in fact many builds had at least one such mod in the t16 era), but having so many of them and having the numbers go to the absurd levels they go is way worse.

Don't wanna go that far or don't agree? Ok, then remove ALL INSTANCES of "extra effect of map mods" from the atlas tree. These are too volatile and excaservate the problem. You can't balance t17 mods with these in the game and you most certainly can't expect the environment to foster anything but the strongest builds if that's the case.

So long as at least one of these two things don't get removed, the game will keep forcing people to be meta slaves, or worse, quit because they get bored. Go take a look around, I'm sure you'll find plenty of people agreeing that they get tired of having to constantly stack more and more defenses cus everything one shots them. You SHOULD reach a point where you own everything, and it should NOT be once you have 5 mirrors worth of gear. Unless of course we want the game to be for streamers only...

Yep, the constant checklists of "suppress,block etc. etc." are just tedious. And t17 mods are a bunch of bs, so many disable entire builds especially if you stack map modifier effect which everyone takes because they're the best nodes on the atlas for more loot.
