Can't use the "Crafted modifiers" in trade

When using the "Pseudo # Crafted modifiers" in trade I can't put in a max 0 to get 0 crafted modifiers on the item I am searching on. Am I doing something wrong or it the feature bugged?

An edge case of "doing it wrong" where you need an explanation for why it works the way it does to make sense of it.

With stat filters, the default type is "And", which means that the item has to have the stat to make it past the filter. When the min and max are 0, the item doesn't have the stat, so nothing gets through the filter.
Example: Searching for Ventor's Gamble a life roll of 0

What you want to do is use is a "Not" stat filter. You can either use the "+ Add Stat Group" dropdown to add an extra filter group, or if you're only going to use one filter, you can click on the edit icon above the "Max" column on the right side.
