Bug Report ID: #2500281081 Fanaticism not affected by buff expiry rate
Fanaticism is a buff with a duration, as indicated by the green outline and it working with ichimonji. Yet it is not affected by buff expiry rate, either runegraft of the warp or map modifiers.
(Apologies if it seems like i am reporting something that just happened right now, that is not my intention. I misunderstood how reporting worked.) Last bumped on Sep 12, 2025, 10:47:36 AM

Yeah I also noticed this. It has got to be a bug. It is a buff, it expires, there really isn't any reason it shouldn't work with the runegraft.

"Historically, buffs from ascendancies haven't been affected by duration or expiration modifiers. |

" Tested this with convergence from elementalist and it seems true. I'm not able to test unbound avatar. Still seems extremely arbitrary. If GGG insists on keeping Fanaticism irredeemably clunky, I would at least like to see a wording change, something like "You have Fanaticism if you have reached Maximum Fanatic Charges Recently" or "Expiry Rate cannot be modified". It would be a bit more wordy, sure, but imo it's very important in a game as theorycraft-focused as PoE to have consistent rules that don't require in-game testing for every little interaction. |

Oh, also, speaking of Fanaticism, I find it a little weird how "you have attacked" doesn't work if the attack is triggered, when "you have warcried" does. Wouldn't actually call that one a bug though.
I'm not even sure what the wording should be there, "used an attack" isn't any better because it wouldn't accept channeling skills like cyclone. |
