Rerolling mods on originator maps should works like T17
1 Div : 260c as of this post created, and we still at early 3rd week.
Its a big mistake to allow originator maps to be able modified by scour and alchemy orbs. Either make it like T17, or fully replace T17, or just remove originator maps altogether. Even after 1 year, and two patch of Path of Exile 2, GGG keep neglecting the importance of currency sink. Last bumped on Jul 4, 2025, 5:37:10 AM

Sinks are not even the problem, it's those stupid multipliers for map/currency/scarab on them. Chaos orbs drop so much you don't even pick them up anymore because every map or every other map drops a divine or valdo-box anyway.
I'd just remove them and while we're at it T17 too |

T16.5s are currently bugged. 8-mod maps generated through corruption scarabs will always and exclusively roll 8x T17 modifiers, causing them to be more rewarding than T17s for most strategies even at the very top-end.
Fix the bug, let all the people at the top-end move back to T17s rather than feeding T17s to the Kingsmarch mappers and the problem is fixed. |

I do not like either T16.5 or T17. Mainly because I think the mods are stupid and highly disruptive. Chaos sink or not. I run them from time to time, but that's about it.

Alch and scour should stay. One of the reason I despise T17's is because I have to roll 20 chaos on each maps to make them barely runnable.

17s are as degenerate as it gets but fundamentally the ratio is meaningless, does it actually matter if its 300c per div? Most of the problems associated with the ratio are infact that players are becoming rich at the top vastly faster than the mid/low tier plebs so it becomes higher to buy things.
That isn't a result of the ratio, its because established farming strats drastically outperform general ones and there aren't any difficulty limiters because we've power crept to godhood. |
