Is defence build for warrior still trash?

I completed the game but quit when game dropped me at the bigging of the game where enemies were too strong and couldn't do damage at all don't have to tell how first boss battle played out couldn't even damage him.

I completed the game with others help because i was unable to do damage at all with warrior defensive build. is the game still unplayable for defence builds ?
Should i continue playing or is it still unrewarding for defence oriented builds?

Whatever it is what you mean with a defense build...
You have to have some form of consistent dps, games are not meant to be survived with minimal effort.

So, a purely defence oriented character of course will be very difficult to play with, because with each moment passing, you increase the odds of being killed.
Solution to that: kill faster.
And there is the answer to why games center around killing: because it makes things easier and faster ;)

There are always some builds that will use many tricks to be near immortal or use their defensive capabilities for offensive stats, and there will be your niche to look for.
