Zalamarth the Collosus becomes immune to damage

I am unable to progress the campaign on my character due to the aforementioned boss becoming immune to damage at around the halfway point of his healthbar.Going back to checkpoint did not fix it, resetting the area didn't fix it, and restarting my game also did not fix it.
