Merc Non-Rez is brutal in juiced maps
This has happened to me at least 10 times now
- Spend 50c on a t17 - Spend 30c rerolling it to have good quant - Spend 3d worth of scarabs - Spend another 0.5d worth of chisels - Enter the map - First pack merc stands afk in a shaper laser and dies immediately - Map is now basically bricked because my build relies on the merc to function It's so frustrating to have so little control over whether they live or die. I've spent close to 20d at this point buying near perfect gear for max life, res, armor, etc. and nothing matters because you simply cannot make a merc strong enough to live in some of these situations. I know they're still going by line by line to fix specific issues but I wish there was a stop gap solution, like ideas - Let us spend a portal to force the merc back in - Let us spend extra gold in addition to the ressurect fee to bring them back - Make the "merc cant re-enter" penalty not apply to the other mercs so we can atleast rotate between them. Please! P.S. My support merc with no weapons always 1 hits himself on reflect maps, very frustrating. Either would love a fix or either let us turn off skills so that they don't use them and kill themselves. Last bumped on Jun 28, 2025, 11:44:26 PM

seems pretty silly to make your entire build reliant on an entity you have absolutely no control over lol.

It's a 5div t17 map, of course I'm going to maximally optimize as much as I can. I'm not going to pivot to a much worse, much more expensive strategy just for the 1 out of 20 maps that this happens in, and even in those maps i can usually finish without some especially more brutal mods. But that doesn't make it any less frustrating.
