I've got a non reflect chest on mine with shock avoid and it is working well.
Understand this is not the best option for everyone, and if I want to use a different chest/ rings, there does not seem to be a lot of options to get around it, unlike can be done for minions or players. I've seen replica alberons boots being an option, but in many cases this is also not desirable and a limiting factor for their gearing. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Jun 28, 2025, 5:24:40 PM

Don't run reflect maps without reflect immunity lmao. I wish they would just delete reflect from the game but it's there so what can you do other than avoid the map or get reflect immunity? If you put reflect immune gear on the merc it will work.

I think it's fine, the problem is the the options for reflect immunity is too limited for the Mercs. You don't have control over their skills directly, other than by limiting which Merc you choose. You can't give them masteries or ascendancies and they can't benefit off your reflect mitigation from pantheon. So that is a pretty large amount of options ruled out.
I think it leaves double ring/ influenced chest armour or ring and chest armour. Or alternatively making your Merc zDps. Which is pretty restrictive, compared with what you can do with minions and your own reflect strategy. Further, if you are using 100% reduced, for the reasons above, it is also harder to get further protection, via shock immunity, etc, which will likely end up taking further slots. In my case, i've managed to get some on the chest, but then needed boots for the rest. There is a bit more options here, but I don't think it is possible without using further pieces. Probably there are some clever options that I have missed. I'm interested to know if anyone has come up with anything better, that will work generically across the Merc Pool. I think it is one of the most interesting parts of the league, needing to come up with gear solutions to things the Mercs encounter, rather than giving them immunity to anything dangerous. In this case, it is a little restrictive though. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Jun 29, 2025, 1:05:45 PM
