Two things i really like that GGG change in POE 2
1. Trading system sucks big time 9 out of 10 you dont get a reaction.
you need to go out of a map to trade. just make a Action house or no trading at all (problem solved in global chat with real money chats) 2. Dead penalty losing 10% XP is just to much, or no dead penalty or just what you got in the map. They are well aware of these requests. Jonathan confirmed in JP interview that they want to do some sort of automated trade system, maybe even in the work right now. They are also well aware of xp loss feedbacks, they never said anything about it. That's what they want, you like it or not, you can't forcefully change their mindset on something. It's needless friction, a relic of the game from over a decade ago that's only still in use because it saves them the time and money required to give us the biggest QOL upgrade these games desperately need. Same with the XP penalty. Their argument is that "people will hit level cap, play a little bit longer then stop". I'd bet $1000 right now that more people have stopped playing the game because they hit 92-94 and got sick of watching an hour or more of progress wiped by some random 1-shot or monster with next to impossible mod combinations that are a hard counter to their build. I know I have. Clearly they know it's an issue or they wouldn't have created amelioration omens. They could easily fix the issue by changing amelioration to negate 100% of XP loss then make them more common. But they won't, because they're stubborn and hard headed about their "vision". |

Trading is supposed to be as hard as it is. It works as it should.
You don't have to like it. You don't even have to trade. Exp penalty makes perfect sense and should never be removed. It was a good idea to change it on pinnacle bosses though, so you can keep trying them. Who cares about defenses if there's no penalty for dying. |

" i dont think thats the argument, i think the argument is that if dying matters then making a build with good defence and playing it well matters. if you take the ability to lose out of a game then its a pathetic game. winning only matters if you could have lost. being shit at the game has to result in a worse outcome than being great at the game, otherwise its not even really a game at all its just a doll dressing simulator. the idea that 6 portals or the time it takes to respawn is enough? come on guys, if you die 5 times in a map no probs, everyones allowed 5 deaths per map before a death matters? its a currency per hour game so losing 6 seconds jumping back in the map is enough of a tax? thse seem like really bleak outlooks on the game. to me its actually a game its not a currency per hour clickerhero virtual wealth generator. its an actual game that is meant to be played as a game. if all you care about is currency per hour then you dont need your xp anyway, you dont even need maps you should be standing in your hideout flipping items. people who actually play the game should be playing a game so death should matter to them, really matter. i was surprised how high level you need to be to actually make 10% xp matter now, its been forever since i rly checked. was levelling a char recently, at lvl93 i timed how long it took me in an alched T15 map, not 5 ways, not T17, not even T16, in a T15 map it took me less than 2 minutes to get 10% xp. and im slow, i loot stuff, i got more than 10% in a single T15 map i didnt even have to finished it to get enough xp to have earned back a penalty. it really only matters at all going from 98-100 and no one needs those 2 points for anything. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
