Not getting Ascendancy points when using ascendancy shrine

Hello, I am having an issue where twice now when I've completed a Trial of Sekhemas where it says I will gain ascendancy points, when interacting with the shrine, nothing is happening. It goes to my ascendancy map, but nothing is selectable. Anyway around this?

Go to and clear the next floor.

An ascendancy altar that would grant you as many points as you currently have is interactable because you can interact with it while all your ascendancy points are unallocated to change to a different ascendancy.
