Problem with memory bosses (new ones)
Well i'm letting this message here just to share what has been my experience with your new bosses.
My char is far from fully optimized but i can clear t15 maps pretty easely. My volcanic fissure of snaking is doing good ignite damages, the clear is good and damage on bosses ramp pretty hard and fast. But i had a problem with ALL new bosses added to the game. As soon as my char enters the arena, they seem to become totally immune to damages. When i fight them alone, well it becomes a neverending BS story of the boss not being able to kill me while i'm fightning him like crazy but i deal little to no damages to them. I spent 1h30 on yesterday (really, from 9 pm to 10h30pm) fighting the incarnation of fear. I just gave up in the end and went to bed, in all that time my char only was able to get hiom down to half life in +/- 10 minutes (which is already crazy) then he simply STOPPED losing life or es for the rest of the time. It never wanted to quit this seemingly invincible state. Tonight, i fought the neglected flame and guss what? Same problem occured. My attacks did nearly no damages to him so i asked for someone to come and help me. Then th!e most starnge thing occured. As long as i was alive in the fight, any of us were able to do him any kind of damages. We rammed him like crazies for like 10 minutes, then i purposely died and magic, the guy coudl almost erase him in less than 30sec. Ho by the way i forgot to mention a very fun point: i'm not speaking of bosses on superjuiced T17 maps. Noooooo. Those fights were in STORY mode of Eagon, on t14 maps... I'm using Herald of ash, herald of purity, purity of elements, 4 golems (lightning, fire, chaos and stone). I'm also using several warcries to overexert my attacks. Does it make bosses immortal? Or is is some kind of new feature from the Vision™? I really miss Chris Wilson's design actually if it's the case. The actual team seems more interested in oneshots, on-deaths fireworks and shitty mechanics. Anyway, this was a total NO GO for me and this is why i let the league and the char as it is, i'm done. Not gonna even try to lose my time on this, i just wanted to share my experience to see if someone, somehow had a beginning of explanation other than usual memes such like "skill issue". Something is making those bosses immortal to me but i don't get what. Last edited by Ashandaar#3743 on Jun 25, 2025, 4:12:30 PM Last bumped on Jul 8, 2025, 9:18:59 AM

do you happen to use runegraft (cannot check them via the website) that grants you increased reservation efficiency but applies your auras to others?
because you are ignite based AND you are using Purity of Elements making enemies in your vicinity (but not far away) immune to ignites do not ask why I know :) |

" If it were this, OP wouldn't be able to clear maps and hopefully would have figured out the problem long ago. But I think you're on the right track, it definitely sounds like something is preventing them from inflicting ignite. Could be a map mod, memory altar, etc. |

as subtly implied above I HAVE BEEN there, not ashamed to admit, this runegraft looks spicy and switched off my brain. it took me some time to realise something is wrong. on a freeze-based caster ive ran 5 t16.5 with ~50% less damage, no freezes/chills/shatters.
white mobs he kills with hits alone, he uses Alchemist mark - and burning ground DEALS damage even with Purity of Elements etc etc. then there is the wording dance of burning being almost but not exactly the same as ignited, herald of ash does its job etc etc there is so much stuff happening and most builds are overkill for regular content. heck ive seen people killing ubers with their gear swap set when all their auras suddenly being 6 Enlightens or whatever what makes me wonder is why the hell he has +1 strikes on his gloves with Volcanic of Snaking. ive seen that setup far to many times to be a slip. whats that? |
