Doryani bug

This is the one that has me stopped. Using my second character. I killed Doryani in the black chamber, Cruel Act 3 and he went back to town like he was supposed to but when I talk to him the quest won't progress and I can't move onto the next area. I have tried going to all the areas, where he was and back to town. failed. going to act 3 normal, where it then states quest complete and go back to cruel and still nothing, failed. exhaust all dialogue options. failed. help!

Go ziggurat past via gateway or waypoint, talk to him there.
