How do I check why the game won't run on my laptop?
This is a long shot but I just wanna know why ;)
I have an old PC with a Nvidia 1050 card which could barely run the game with lowest settings). One day the PC died so I tried to run it on my laptop which had a 1060 GPU (suppose to be a tiny bit better than the 1050... ) and kinda similar spec (similar RAM anc CPU speed and same old 6G vram with the old gpu). But I couldn't run it at all. It will start and show the 2 gears screen then it will crash. With some setting tweaking I manage to get it to get to the login screen but it will either freeze or crash out. Shortly after I bought a 2nd hand gaming PC with a 4060 and it ran just fine on that machine. However, I don't get why the game wouldn't run at all on the laptop which was able to play any games on the old PC so far. Is that any way I can dig up any log to find out what caused the crash? I tried everything from updating win, C++ runtime to latest nvidia driver etc etc no luck. Last bumped on Jun 24, 2025, 3:25:05 AM

i7 7700HQ 2.8gHz 16G RAM
GPU is GTX1060 6G vram I also have 300G freespace. Every other app turned off. Again, not looking for any performance I was just hoping this can run the game with lowest settings. Any constructive suggestion is welcome. Thanks guys ;) |

" The module that caused the crash can be found in the "Windows event viewer": look at my answer in [Update] Can't Login with a Specific Character. And in the 'Path of Exile 2' subfolder 'logs' are log files (look at the end of "Client.txt" to see the latest logs before your last crash). Last edited by Th69#3281 on Jun 24, 2025, 3:25:44 AM
