Sony PlayStation Item pricing is out of control

The amount of currency people are asking for their item's is totally ridiculous.
What goes for 2 chaos on PC is sold for 80+ chaos on PlayStation.
I see items selling for 20 chaos on PC and they sell for 1 divine on PS.
Not even Xbox is selling their items at such ridiculous prices. I understand that PC has a bigger group of players so yes supply and demand comes into play. But that is not the problem here. There is a lot of supply for the items I search, it's not like they are just a few listed. It's just greed and ignorance. This is the worse pricing I've seen on PS in the last 5 years that I've played.
It makes the game un realistic to play and gear your character. I am surprised that PS has a fan base at all at this point. If you don't believe me go on POE trade and flip between all the PC, Xbox and PS and see for your self.

This is part of the reason I wanted them to restart the league after the false start.

I fully believe the f'd economy we have is a direct result of a portion of the playerbase getting a 12+ hour head start. (And a smaller portion getting a 7+ hour head start).

Our economy is always different than PC, but I actually like the size of it. If there were a solution implemented to prevent or punish pricefixing and other market manipulation, it would be really nice.

But this league is way worse than usual, as you say.

Economy is always awful no matter if the league started earlier or not. I never understood how in smaller population with less currency you can ask a bigger price ( yeah, shortages, but still).

If there was a way to migrate to PC from console, I would do it. I dont want to spend the same amount for mtx as back when I started playing i didnt have a decent PC.

How could people getting a 12 hour start not effect the economy 🤣 they were in red maps when we got to long in. Imagine the stock market got a reset you were 12 hours late, yeah you're screwed, now Imagine it's everyone that's late, now you have the actually economy and no one wants to play a getting f#$%@! bc they didn't actually test the league twice in a row. Beat the new bosses got most the new uniques have a 95 guardian, 92 saboteur, and a 92 champion. For mercs I'm just getting petty loot, for kingsmarch seems like you farm gold instead of divines so you can fund kingsmarch to send shipments to get the divines that used to drop pre-settlers. Worse league retention in several years and seems like after a week its just an above ground pool league, I'll get my feet wet but I can't really dive in.

Why would you care for other markets? Its not like we share the same as PC. Furthermore were you even around when the release for consoles was 7 days after the PC?

What an ignorant reply. Yea I was around when the delay was a week after PC. That has nothing to do with what we are talking about. The point of this thread it to point out the ridiculous pricing and price gouging we endure to try to even function in this game. A ton off us couldn't log in till the next day, and the pricing is the worst I've seen in the 5 years I've been playing. I'm glad you don't care about the cost of stuff, good for you.

Yep, i dont care as I dont play meta builds but what I like. I understand how the PC market can theoretically affect ours as the builds are known from there, but still if you go to poe ninja you will find these builds are using progenesis, magehunter ( mageblood or headhunter) and when you see something like this, you just move on. Give me one example why the current market is out of control and any different than other leagues? And dont compare prices with PC. As i said in another post - i will gladly switch to PC but not for cheap items but so I can play with my friends.

Second this.
Dunno why people do this but it's not fun for other players
For now price to divine goes to 300 chaos per 1 :|
Im know that expensive items need to be expensive but now i need to farm 300c for now to 1 divine and i need 300 divine so its like 90.000 chaos orb. Problemt it's that item cost 300 divine, problem that 300 divine cost 90.000c.

And this situation happens only with divine orb and MAYBE (sarcasm) answer is RMT? If you check any RMT site (surprise - surprises GGG! :) they sold mostly divine orbs so few people can manipulate market to rise up MRT selling.
Like 300 chaos per divine and hours of farming on just use payment card. :|

It's not so visible on PC market coz of player base but on console, PS, player base much smaller and its effect more. And it starts right after some players play at POE2 and realize that they can do the same thing with market as they do in POE2.

Why play on trade league when every item overpriced? GGG maybe u find time and answer us?

Also, it's dumb af but if you find divine orbs via trade side you can see like 3-4 nick why sells them but don't accept any trade site whispers or offers via trade board. And they're just rising up price per divine. Perhaps they make fun of this situation but market dying.

Maybe your replies could be more constructive if you actually read what other people are saying.

The whole "started early" thing is NOT about PC. Here on Playstation, for Mercenaries league, there was a bug at league start. No one could get in. Then, after many hours, *SOME* players could get in. But not everyone. A large number of players were able to log in and play the league about 7 hours before the next group of people were able to start getting in, and then, 5 hours after that, EVERYONE was finally able to get in. So the players who started in the first batch were literally 12 hours ahead of the players who were in the last batch.

And, YES, this economy is the worst I've ever seen on Playstation, and I've been playing on here since Legion league. Some of the players who got in early decided to specifically use that early advantage to manipulate the market, buying up supplies of in-demand items and relisting them at very high prices. This slowed the progress of some of the later players, exacerbating the problem.

I also believe that the active player count dropped faster than ever, probably due to all the bugs.

Between these two effects (and possibly others), the economy on PS is *horrible* this league. Supply is very small, and prices are very high... even when demand is low.

Now, personally, I don't care that much, because I'm like a 90% SSF player. I only even play in trade league because I want to be able to party-up with my friends, and share items with them.

But I do believe in both truth and fairness. I believe it was wrong of GGG not to restart the league when there was such a large discrepancy of start times.

I also believe they need to come up with some trade changes that will make it harder for people to market manipulate, and greatly reduce scamming. It's impossible to 100% eliminate these things, but they could be much more rare than they are now.

Apparently they're working on a trade overhaul for PoE2 that would likely get backported to PoE1 eventually if it works well. But we probably have 2-3 more leagues of the current system, at a minimum.

EDIT to Add: I should have said, I'm not an SSF player because I prefer SSF, but because I hate all the garbage that goes on in the trade league economy, AND I prefer the progression model of a very small economy.
