Account got hacked

Dropped my first Headhunter through merc last night (19/6/2025, around 7pm GMT+8), and when I logged in this afternoon, POOF everything is gone. Divines, 2 perfect rolled tamings, most of my equipments, and of course the HH is gone.

I've tried looking at trade and saw some of them that looks like mine.

Even though I log in through Steam, I've updated my password on my account and hopefully this hacking won't happen again.

I just want to get back my items and start blasting maps again. Will I be able to get back my items soon?

GGG never returns stolen items. They're gone forever.

Beyond that, if you email GGG expect your account to be locked for the next 3-6 months while they spend a month+ between email exchanges while you try to prove that you really do own it and should be allowed back in.

I'd suggest changing your GGG, email, steam, etc passwords first to see if that boots the thief out first; and only email GGG as a last resort.

I have the pictures as prove that i owned the item. And also a picture of another person selling my item in POE Trade.

I posted it in the forum, and they deleted it within 3 minutes, and ask me to email their support and giving me a hope, guess what? The staff just talk to me like a bot like they trained to. Try to avoid any more work on the case.

It feels like im casually walking in a shop, and someone robbed me in it. The workers saw it, but they just dont give a damn.

Same thing happened to me today. I emailed GGG and they told me to kick dirt. I even found the person selling all my items, even talked to them for 20 minutes. Gave GGG their account name and everything. The dudes account started with a "J". Curious if it's the same person for you. Very similar to you I lost a HH + all the rest of my gear and about 65 Divines.

Interestingly enough, the person was able to change my password without having access to my email, without a password change email being sent to me etc. I did some google and it seems there's been previous instances of former employees admin accounts getting "stolen".

Yeap, they did told me to kick dirt too. I tried looking for my non-unique items in trade, but it wasn't listed there. Either that or they've made some changes to the stats.

I played via standalone client before 2015, which might have caused the password leak issue (?)...but oh well at the end of the day my items are gone and motivation to play this league is dwindling.

I'm fairly certain they banned the guy who had all my items. While I was in the hideout with him he randomly disconnected and I've had a live search for my items since yesterday and haven't seen them since he disconnected. If it's the same dude who got both of us, might be why you're not finding your stuff.

just change every password email everything you can get 2FA on everything. dont email GGG, my main account i lost because GGG just locks the account and wants your first born child as payment and your house to prove its yours... its insane what they want and go through to not give your account back.. i just ended up making a new one good luck!
