Permanent Performance degradation from particles (Steam Deck issue?)

I have no means to know if this is an issue that affects every hardware or just the steam deck, but there appears to be a memory leak or something related to particles.

The easiest way to reproduce this is to enter a map with burning ground. Just the presence of the burning ground will cause performance degradation. It seems specific to particles because shocked ground and chilled ground won't do this.

I've seen extreme cases of it where if there's lots of effects happening at once, if it reaches some sort of threshold of the things happening at once, the performance simply gives up forever. Framerate drops to like 2 per second , it doesn't matter that the monsters and effects are no longer on screen, it dies permanently.

Another case that's pretty blatant is the 6 armed Boss from act 3, if you fight htis guy for too long, the performance will halt to a grind.

I have gotten used to just closing the Path of Exile process and starting again.

A possible symptom I've noticed is that when you switch too much between weapon sets that have minions, sometimes you can still see the Bones effect floating on the sky if you scroll the camera to the right spot. The bones stay there permanently.

I understand perfectly that my hardware is underpowered and I wouldn't complain if it was struggling to display too many effects at once. But what's worrying is the permanent fps drop.
