Kingsmarch Mining doesnt work

for some reason i simply cannot talk to the npc next to the mining board. and even though i have assigned 3 npcs to mine i get no ore (i have gold in there and everything as i get wheat from the farm but the mobs assigned to ore does not generate anything)

Miners do not generate ore. You find ore in maps and then your miners will work collecting it as long as they are assigned and you have gold in your treasury.

Step 1. Run map and click the ores that spawn.
Step 2. Complete the ores and it "marks" the ores to be mined. You don't have to do anything to mark it other than complete the ore in the map. Some of the in-map spawned ores require killing the mobs that spawn while Bismuth just marks all the ore when you click on it.
Step 3. Assign miners to converted "marked" ore into mined ore.
Step 4 (optional). Assign smelters to convert mined into smelted bars.

You can then ship either mined ore or smelted bars on boats.
