Why are the other 2 mercs blocked when any one, dies (per zone)?

My feedback is that should change. Can someone link me the official ggg wording of how that is supposed to work?

This is the entirety of wording on the topic, that I *could* find, copied straight from a well known guide/advice site:

"When a Mercenary dies, it isn’t permanently gone. They will return to town, and in order to continue using your Mercenary you’ll have to pay a Gold fee to revive them

Mercenaries that are killed won’t return to the instance in which they died in, regardless of whether or not you revive them – you’re on your own until you get to the next zone or map!"

That could be worded better, imho, to reflect that ANY mercenary you own, dying in a zone, prevents ALL mercenaries you own at that time, from being summoned to the zone.

You get one merc per area, when it's gone it's gone.

They work the same way Animated Guardians do, for the same exact reason: GGG wants it to cost you some amount of thought or investment to have your own infinitely respawnable aurabot, so you can't use them to trivialize content.

Not to derail the thread or anything, but given the wording of the AG change in the patch notes, it sounds like you can just rez them in your hideout then bring them back into the map. Is that correct?

Either way, I'm just glad they now finally keep the gear when killed. I'd rather go one map without them than have to spend several divs re-buying their gear again, even moreso if I'm running an actual AG build and not just having them as a support.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Good question, but no, you can't get your AG back if it dies, even if you go to your hideout and resummon it. Re-entering the portal gives you a message explaining that you can't resummon a Guardian in this area.
