God disconnected (failed to join achievement server) as soon as I got my first voidstone

As the title sais, I killed eater for my first stone, the game froze up and prompted an error message (bottom left: "failed to join achievement server"-or something similar).
Trying to relog afterwards I couldn't, progress was lost the fight didn't count.
