Multiple disconnects / crashes per hour with rollback. EU

Usually happens during mapping, especially prone after playing in the map for a while.
All of a sudden lag starts to appear and then in 2-3 second game freezes completely.
POE either crashes completely or there's a black screen that leads to Main Menu.
Around 80% of the time the map I was playing completely disappears, the rest of the time only one portal is lost.

Please fix this, or get me a bandaid fix at least, because I can't play the game at all. I've had like 15 maps lost minimum, I don't trust the game to juice the maps because they'll be lost if I am not fast.

Unfortunately, no client-side workarounds exist for server-side instance crashes.

They are attempting to mitigate the DDoS attacks, for what it’s worth.
Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.
I don't understand why the rollback happens or why the maps are completely destroyed.
Assuming the servers are getting hammered by DDoS attacks they should be able to go offline / restarting without destroying the instance right?
As far as I know DDoS is just a massive amounts of packets coming in, I don't see why the server would crash instead of just halting endlessly, unless this exists as a fail safe in case a client is hogging all of the resources.
I'm still curious though why they are not snap shotting the instance and starting it again somewhere else as a test to see if it's a user issue ( bug ) or a DDoS attack issue.

It’s not a true rollback; it’s more a case of data loss.

The instance server you play on will periodically sync with the databases as you play - such as when you level up, or change zone, or log out. If the server crashes, it cannot sync again.

I don’t see how that could be possible.

Can your computer keep Discord running as it restarts?

There's plenty of ways to go about keeping an instance online, that's not the issue at hand. I got 2 old computers acting as a network router that have high availability sync running in case one of them stops working. If one restarts, the other takes over in an instant.

That's not what I am asking for though, as it will inevitably use a lot of wasted resources, all I need is for the server to reboot an instance at it's own pace. There's been plenty of maps where I have been playing for a few minutes before the issue at hand.
It's just weird that there's no system to at least credit you for the currency you spent on creating the map. As a new player it felt incredibly bad when I lost half my maps yesterday due to issues like this.
I'm guessing they never had this many crashes at the same time and they weren't prepared for this situation, but we'll see from the dev blog I hope.
