Account got hacked

I've been away from games since mid of March until recently.
On 6/6/25, i tried to login steam account and found out it has been hacked. After getting back my account, i change the steam and email passwords immediately.

Joined POE 1 mercenary event, after few acts i got bored and went back to standard to checkout my old build. And i find that some of my items have gone missing.

so i try my luck to see if someone is selling it on POE trade, THERE IT IS

[Removed by Support]

is there anyway to get back my items?
is the hacker going to be punished?

Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that! Could you please email us at support@grindinggear.com so we can look into this matter for you?
So, after all these chats through email, no action will be taken whatsover.

Hacker got away with my items, and not getting any punishment.

As a victim in this case, i feel like the hacker is the one being protected. Is this how it works? Or GGG merely dont want to waste any resources on this hackers, because they can bring more fund to you guys than we small potatoes do.

Atleast delete my stolen item, do not let hackers get benefit from it!
This has been GGG's stance for a long time. Fully supporting the cyber criminals and never implementing 2FA would literally land me in legal trouble in my industry if there were a breach.

totally agree. it's saddening to see such a big developer has no security measure for the players. Even discord has 2FA.

when things happen they rather use their terms and condition to put us into silence.
This is how it works. My guild lost a couple mirrors worth of investment on day 2-3 (got an early HH from ultimatum, another guildie pulled a mirror out of heist, plus a bunch of people marathoning the weekend play session), and support has been anything but helpful regarding it. It basically ruined what was going to be an amazing league start for the guild.

Guildmates had to watch it all happen until the guild leader could come online too, because for some reason only guild leaders can kick, officers cant have that permission.

And lets not get started on lack of 2fa from GGG, when blizzard was using it in WoW nearly 20 years ago. It's just a huge lack of care and effort on GGGs side to help ensure player account security.
