Cannot choose what server I play on - unable to play

I choose Amsterdam and then when I warp to an area it changes to London and my ping goes from 30ms to 200ms with absurd lag spikes every 4 seconds. London is completely unsusable for me and always has been but never have I had this issue where it completely ignores the server I choose and puts me on the worst possible server instead. I can't play at all while this is happening.
