Game freeze and spinning GGG cogs appear and I get back in game or back to main screen

So very often the game will freeze and I will see the spinning cogs and keep playing or get booted to main login screen. It has never happened before this league nor am I experiencing lagg before it happens or anything unusual. There is info in my logs made by poe:

It will show this everytime is happens I believe, please help GGG!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to give a heads up that I ran into these errors but found a solution that has worked and has solved it for myself and a friend. On windows, you have the My Games folder with the Path of Exile folder. Go to that production_Config file. From inside that, set renderer_type=Directx11 if it isn't already and then set device_type=Directx11 (This on both that were fixed was set to 12 at time of us opening it so seems like a mismatch). Making this change has then made the next load on both comps successful and we went back to being able to play.

Check those fields even if a vulkan player to check for mismatches.
Okay if someone sees this the problem in my case was DX12, if I go to DX11 or Vulkan the problem goes away but I would like to use DX12 for performance reasons...

Had the same issue, did as suggested above and it seems fixed now. Thanks for that!
For me PoE was also consuming a lot of memory - around 8GB - but after the config file change it's now sitting at around 3.5GB.
Getting same error even in the main login screen openning the game
Getting the same thing. Tried different drivers, tried different rendering options, same things happens every 10-20 minutes or so.

The fact that this isn't on GGG's "Known Issues" list is appalling.
