Game fails to launch via Mac standalone client. Keeps throwing error message.

Currently cannot even get to the login page using the Mac standalone client. This has been happening since late last night. A popup message (see below) occurs every time when trying to start the game.



As usual there is a workaround - you can start the program without this message appearing if you go to the directory that has Path of Exile.app. Select open and the game will go to the login screen and allow login without getting the error message (you can also move the icon from here to the dock to perform this action).

FPS is terrible in town, but improves in HO (see below). Like huh ?
Network latency is horrible and stuck, regardless of location. Is GGG under a DDOS attack again ?




It would be nice if we did not have some sort of issue every day using the Mac standalone client. It is exhausting and I spend more time trying to figure out a workaround and get into the game than actually playing it.

Please fix the Mac client issues GGG, this one first please. Clearly something is going wrong on the servers. It does not mater which gateway is used (I'm on the Canadian one at the moment). FPS is terrible on any tried - though the network latency os lower on the Washington one at the moment.
