Regarding the moderation rules.

Hello exiles, where you aware that on Feb 7, 2024, 12:59:45, moderation rules where changed in VERY bad way?

I speak for people who got muted for a long time, a year, maybe two, for basicly harmless things like meme "toucan", your mute time doubles every time you do this and new rules apply to those people who where already muted aswell, basicly ruining their account, and you cannot even do something about this.

I can understand why someone like this is being muted in GLOBAL channels, but from trades? from whispers?

Why i cannot appeal such a thing? Because of https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1457463 THIS? This statement? No clear punishment lines are written. No separation from harmless spam that by wide majority just hypes up many people, like toucan that i already mentioned, and obvious harassment, name-calling, racists etc. It's the same in the eyes of this code of conduct, no exceptions.

I was not aware of those changes, spammed "toucan" got my basicly ban from the game for 800 hours, imagine my surprise.
Contacted support, sorry we cannot do anything about it they said, here "terms of conduct" you can choke on it.

Each year it's harder for me to love this game.

What are your thoughts on this topic?

I honestly think no one needs to spam anyone for any reason, harmless or otherwise.

if you/they can't behave to the point that they end up with year + mutes then too bad for them.

The moderation rules have been pretty much the same since 2013 with only added clarification since then.
The punishment changed to include trading.
The mutes have always been doubled and so to get 800 hours you have been muted about 8 times already.
Maybe...MAYBE, behave and stop making the chat channels irritating to even have on.

Toucan brings a little hype to global for like 30 seconds it's harmless, in global chats most of what i can see is memes about "RUE A CAT????" Discussion on controversial topics that can bring mute to either side for typing out their thoughts.

Also seen some stupid things in there, i've seen people being muted for simple things like typing 69, as A JOKE, and for that they muting you IN TRADE, IN TRAAAADE.

It's akin to being banned from the game, so it's okay if someone scams me, i'll call him out, trow a few insults that are deserved and i'm getting muted basicly banning me from the game with no chance of this decision being appealed by me?

Is it OK, that there is no separation in punishment between some silly jokes, and actually smth that is wrong?

Moderation and support in GGG is not even in OKAY state right now, this system is basicly like in LoL and it bring only more toxicity where it is not needed.

And i'm pretty sure GGG doesn't even care, they can do whatever they want, cause there is EULA, which i red and well they can take away everything from you, every little thing, even your account if they want, even if you bought something, they can take away that too, like they took away the ability to use tabs in they full capacity(selling) if you are muted.

And the only chance to appeal that decision is go and send an official complaint, and go for arbitration and even here you are c*cked because GGG chooses place where to hold the arbitration, and if you not rich and not being able to drop everything to fly to this place well you f*****

I white-knighted this company for like 6 years already, but decisions regarding how they treat they player base degraded over the last two years considerably.

And for people who were already muted getting these restrictions that's not true.

I don't like it either but it is what it is.

I was not defending myself from being muted, i'm speaking about the unfairness in the punishment system itself, yes i spammed toucan and i do agree with being muted in global chat, but why i'm getting the same treatment as someone who promotes RMT, someone who harassed people, racists, terrorists supporters?

I'm frustrated with this because of it being unfair not because i got muted. Soulless machine that's what it is.

That's like one person stole loaf of bread from the grocery store and the other stole frome the bank and they get same sentences, it's ridiculous.
