Power creep in PoE has gotten kinda dumb. But it's NOT player power creep it's MOB power creep!!!

" I was literally about to start the same ass post. It's funny how merc 1 shot you, but don't 1 shot mobs once they get hired. I also noticed Essences are insanely strong. I think some of the stuff ingame just flat out ignores your defenses. I was literally screenrecording to see how I get hit with some of the skills cus I literally can't see sometimes what is killing me. In slow mo... it seems some of the hits literally don't care about your resistances, been playing since 2015. The only time I remember getting constantly 1 shot no matter what was like Betreyal league. |

Hireables one-shotting you? And they don't do much when they're on your side?

" It's not the one shots that bother me, it's the fact you don't get a chance to dodge it, you don't even get 1 second. Most bosses in the game, shaper elder ubers etc.. give you a chance, if you don't pay attention, you die. With mercs it's lottery, he kills you off screen |

for me, no problem with the mercs....BUT i nearly NEVER find the only one that fit right with my build.....always the same 2 or 3 variants on the maps. pffffff
learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.

The offscreen random 1 shots, reminds me of "Hardcore Invasion League" back in mid 2014. It was like that with the invasion bosses.

dont have time to look them up now but quite sure some skills/mods have a chance to "ignore defence reductions" so all that reduction wont save you.
since mobs rely more on raw HP than high reduction is not surprising they can 1 shoot players but not mobs. |

I guess Doppelgänger Guise armor should be a lot more valuable than people give credit for nova days. Slap, 40% less damage taken and no nonsense and no extra investment.
